Most schools add printers one classroom at a time. A few years later, nobody knows how many devices there are, what they cost to run, or which ones are worth keeping. We cut the confusion with a simple process.
See every device.
We give your team free access to portal.scott.tech. Our click counter reports every networked printer and copier in your buildings: model, location, page counts, toner levels, and service status. You get a full assessment and a live overview of your fleet in one place, at no cost.
Visit the portal >>Get clear recommendations.
We walk through the data with you and show where money is leaking: underused machines, aging devices, costly desktop printers, and leases that no longer fit. You get a plain-English plan with transparent pricing.
Right-size the fleet.
We replace devices only where it makes sense, so teachers, staff, and students have the right tools to do their jobs. Our local technicians install, network, train, and service everything under one agreement.
Less time on printers
Toner ships automatically and service alerts reach us first. Your IT team gets back to supporting classrooms.
Costs you can see
Track printing by school, department, or user. Set student print limits and see exactly where the budget goes.
Student data stays private
Badge or PIN release keeps student records and staff documents off the output tray until the right person is there.
Built for specific campuses.
Buy at bid, with more buying power.
Schools rarely need to run their own bid for print equipment. Scott Technology Group is an authorized reseller on the cooperative contracts listed here, so your district or campus buys with the purchasing power of thousands of public agencies. Contract prices are ceilings, and we can often quote under them.
Check your purchasing policy. We’ll send the contract numbers and a line-item quote for your file.
Contract numbers and how it works >>Questions schools ask.
Short answers here. Call or text if you want the long ones.
Can school districts and colleges buy through NASPO ValuePoint or Sourcewell?
In most cases, yes. Both are open to school districts, community colleges, and public universities. Check your purchasing policy, and we’ll provide the contract numbers your business office needs.
What does the assessment cost?
Nothing. The fleet assessment is free, and so is the portal.
Do we have to replace our current printers?
No. We start with what you already own, and plenty of devices stay in place. We recommend replacing only the ones that cost more to keep than to change.
What does the click counter collect?
Device information only: model, serial number, page counts, toner levels, and error alerts. It never reads or stores the content of your documents.
Does the portal work with brands you don’t sell?
Yes. The portal tracks most networked printers and copiers, whatever the brand. When it’s time to replace a device, we’re an authorized Canon, Ricoh, and Brother dealer.
Can we manage student printing?
Yes. With print management software such as PaperCut, you can set quotas, track usage by student or class, and require a badge or PIN to release jobs.
Who services the equipment?
Our own factory-trained technicians, based in Rohnert Park. They know your buildings, your devices, and your staff, and they show up fast.
